IT support · Private practices

Simple, secure IT for Melbourne private practices, in every room you consult from.

You trained to look after patients, not laptops. Yet in a lot of small practices the practitioner or the practice manager is also the IT department, squeezing password resets and updates in between appointments. We take that job off you, and keep your notes private wherever you're seeing people that day.

For practices of 1 to 10 people · specialists in private rooms, psychologists, physios, dentists, optometrists, podiatrists and small clinics.

The problem

Small practice, very private information, nobody whose job is IT.

A two-person practice holds the same kind of information as a hospital. It just doesn't have an IT team guarding it. That gap is where most of the risk lives.

You've become the IT person

The laptop that keeps asking to restart. The shared password on a sticky note. The printer that won't talk to reception. And practice managers are a natural target for scam emails, because they pay the invoices and hold the logins. One fake sign-in page can hand over the lot.

Your notes travel with you

Monday in your own rooms, Wednesday at a hospital, Friday on telehealth from home. Your practice software lives in the cloud, so it's only as safe as the sign-in and the device you open it on, whether that's your laptop, home Wi-Fi or a borrowed reception PC.

Some notes can't ever leak

Psychology notes can hold the most private things a person will ever say out loud. Health service providers are covered by the Privacy Act whatever their size, a serious breach has to be reported, and Ahpra expects registered practitioners to keep records secure. This isn't legal advice, but it is a lot to carry alone.

What we do for private practices

Your IT, looked after, so your attention stays on patients.

We don't hand you a box of tools. We set things up properly, look after them every day, and stay a phone call away.

Safe in every room

Two-step sign-in on everything, laptops that are encrypted and kept up to date, and a lost device we can lock remotely. Built to a recognised security standard. Cyber security.

A helpdesk instead of you

Your PCs, scanners, printers and Wi-Fi are monitored and patched in the background, and a real person who knows your setup answers when you call. Managed IT support.

Email that's harder to fool

Microsoft 365 locked down properly, scam filtering, and short, practical training so your practice manager can spot a fake invoice or sign-in page. Microsoft 365 support.

Backups beyond your practice software

Your cloud software looks after its own data. Your email, letters, reports and scanned referrals are a different story. In Victoria, adult health records generally have to be kept for at least seven years after the last consultation. Backup & recovery.

Why practices trust us

We already work where specialists work.

We already support healthcare organisations and specialist practices in the Box Hill hospital precinct. So we know the real day: rooms shared between doctors, practitioners moving between sites, and software that has to be working before the first patient walks in. We don't name our healthcare clients. That's the same discretion you'd want from us. Here's how working with us actually goes.

1. A 30-minute Scorecard

A plain conversation about your setup. We don't need access to your systems or your notes. You leave with a prioritised fix list that's yours to keep.

2. A clear plan and price

What to fix first, what can wait, and one fixed monthly fee. No surprise bills, and no jargon.

3. We look after it

We protect, support and keep improving your setup every day. You can see the progress in Kevin, your private portal, instead of taking our word for it.

Find out how safe your patients' notes really are. Free.

Book a free Security Scorecard. In about 30 minutes you'll know where your practice is exposed and the simplest fixes. No system access, no obligation, and you'll leave with at least 3 fixes you can use yourself, even if we never work together.

Questions we get

What private practices ask us.

I'm a solo practitioner. Am I too small for an IT partner?

No. Lots of private practices are one practitioner and a practice manager, or just one practitioner. That's often where help matters most, because there's nobody else to fix things. The fee is sized to your team and what you actually need.

Does the Privacy Act really apply to a small private practice?

Generally, yes. Most small businesses are exempt, but health service providers are covered whatever their turnover. Under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, a breach that's likely to cause serious harm has to be reported to the OAIC and the people affected. This isn't legal advice on your obligations, so check the detail with your adviser.

Will you make us change our practice software?

No. We work with the software you already use, whether that's Cliniko, Halaxy, Splose, Genie, Gentu or something else. We look after everything around it: the devices, the sign-ins, your email, your network and your backups. If the problem sits with the software itself, we'll help you take it to the vendor.

I consult from more than one set of rooms. Can you support that?

Yes. Most fixes happen remotely, wherever you are that day. When something needs hands on it, we come to you. We're based in Greensborough and get out across Melbourne's north and east, including the Box Hill hospital precinct.

What does it cost?

A fixed monthly fee, so there are no surprise bills. The free Security Scorecard comes first, so you get a clear plan and a clear price before you commit to anything.

Running a bigger clinic? See IT for medical centres, or IT for professional services. We also provide managed IT support and cyber security across Melbourne, with local support in Box Hill and suburbs across the north and east.
