How we got here

We learned how the big end of town does IT — then brought it back to where it’s needed most.

Unity didn’t start in a boardroom. It started in small-business IT, back before “managed IT” was even a phrase — rolling up sleeves for the kind of local businesses that keep a suburb running. From there our founder, Daniel, moved into government and enterprise technology: large-scale projects, leading teams of engineers, delivering the ambitious, well-resourced work most businesses never see behind the curtain. He saw exactly how the big end of town protects itself — the rigour, the planning, the depth. And he saw who was missing out.

Why Unity exists

The contrast was impossible to unsee. Large organisations have whole teams, budgets and rigour pointed at keeping them safe. Small and medium businesses face the same attacks — often more of them, because they’re seen as the easy way in — but with almost none of the knowledge, skills or guidance to do something about it, at a price that fits their world. That gap — big risk, no affordable access to real help — is the reason Unity exists. We’re here to close it.
