Do you work with our clinical software?
Yes. We look after the computers, server, network and security your clinical software runs on, whatever you use, for example Best Practice, MedicalDirector or Zedmed. When the problem is inside the software itself, we deal with the vendor's support team so you're not stuck in the middle.
Does the Privacy Act really apply to a small GP clinic?
Generally, yes. Health service providers are covered by the Privacy Act whatever their turnover. Under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, a breach that's likely to cause serious harm has to be reported to the OAIC and to the people affected. This isn't legal advice on your obligations, so check the detail with your adviser.
Can you help with RACGP accreditation?
We help with the information security side. The RACGP Standards for general practices expect things like a team member responsible for computer security, individual log-ins for clinical software and a business continuity plan. We put the technical controls in place, support the person in your practice who owns security, and keep records you can show. We don't accredit practices; an independent accrediting agency does. The RACGP released the 6th edition of the Standards in August 2026, and accreditation is still assessed against the 5th edition until transition arrangements are published.
We run after-hours and weekend sessions. Does that change anything?
It changes when we work. Updates and maintenance get scheduled around your sessions, not just around business hours, and we set up phones and sign-ins so the after-hours doctor can work securely on the same machines. Tell us your hours at the Scorecard and we'll build the support cover you need into your fixed fee.
What does it cost, and do you come on-site?
Managed support is a fixed monthly fee based on your computers and staff, so there are no surprise bills. Most issues we fix remotely. When something needs hands on it, we come to you, across Melbourne's north and east from our Greensborough base. The free Security Scorecard comes first, so you get a clear plan before you commit to anything.
